The 500 year old, canvas, 48×36, Feb 21

This olive tree estimated to be 500 years old, grows in the Galilee mountains of Israel, and in March, the poppies pop up around it for two weeks. Dror Galilee is one of Israel’s greatest nature photographers and after his photo, by his permission I painted this piece.
